Don R. Levi, J.D., Ph.D.

A 9th generation Missourian, Don has over 40 years of educational experience and numerous teaching awards. He grew up in the Ozarks and dedicates this book to helping youth understand the importance of electric cooperatives. His book is dedicated to helping young people today understand the importance of cooperatives and their role in providing electricity to rural areas. Don served on the Association of Missouri Electric Cooperatives’ executive committee and statewide board of directors, and is a retired professor. /p>

Kimberly Ashley, M.S.Ed. Educational Consultant

With a master’s degree in Curriculum & Instruction, Kimberly has 17 years of classroom experience in creating engaging STEM activities that blend math, social studies and reading. She currently works at Lawrence Public Schools District where she is a teaching specialist who advises and assists elementary teachers on designing instruction to meet student needs. /p>

Lillian G. Lingenfelter, M.Ed.

Lillian is an alumna of Emporia State University and American University, and has a background in middle and high school level Social Studies education. She is a recipient of the 2019 Kansas Horizon Award for excellence in first year teachers, and is a member of the 2021-2022 cohort of teachers selected for Teach for America’s Rural School Leadership Academy.
