Imagine the darkness at night before there was power on Missouri’s farms

The book Mostly True Tales and its protagonist Donnie Denim provide students with a window on the past to understand how electric cooperatives work – and why they are important. Local co-ops can then partner with local schools to provide teachers with engaging lesson plans which are aligned with Missouri Learning Standards as required by the Missouri Department of Elementary & Secondary Education.

Class lesson plans that teach:
